UPSC NDA 2017: Union Public Service Commission has been released an Examination Notification for National Defence Academy (NDA) & Naval Academy (NA) Examination (I), 2017 at the Commission’s website www.upsc.gov.in. An Examination will be conducted by the Union Public Service Commission on 23rd April, 2017 for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the NDA for the 139th Course, and for the 101st Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) commencing from 2nd January, 2018.

The approximate number of vacancies to be filled on the results of this Examination will be as:
- National Defence Academy (NDA): 335 posts (208 for Army, 55 for Navy and 72 for Air Force)
- Naval Academy (NA) [10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme]: 55 posts

(a) In addition to pay, Grade Pay will also be given as under:—
Lt: Rs. 5,400/-
Capt: Rs. 6,100/-

Brig: Rs. 8,900/-
Maj Gen: Rs. 10,000/-
(b) A Fixed sum of Rs. 6,000/- p.m. is also payable as Military Service Pay (MSP) to the officers of the rank of Lt to Brig.
Eligibility Criteria for UPSC NDA 2017 Exam:
For Army Wing of National Defence Academy:— 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy:— 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination.
Age Limit: The age limit of candidates should not be born earlier than 02-07-1998 and not later than 01-07-2017.
Marital Status: Unmarried Male candidates
Application Fee: All candidates (except SC/ST candidates) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 100/- either by depositing the money in any branch of SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India/ State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/ State Bank of Hyderabad/ State Bank of Mysore/ State Bank of Patiala/ State Bank of Travancore or by using any Visa/ Master Credit/ Debit Card.

Before applying application form, candidates must read brief instructions for filling up the online Application Form. You can apply online application form:

- Go to the “Notification” section and
- Click on the “Examination Notice”
- Read all instructions of the Notification
- Click on the “Apply Online”
- Fill up the application form with required details
- Upload all required documents
- Pay the application fee through Online/ Offline Mode
- Click on the “Submit” button
- Starting date for submission of Online Application Form: 18-01-2017
- Last date for submission of Online Application Form: 10-02-2017
- Examination date for NDA I: 23-04-2017
UPSC NDA & NA Exam (I) 2017 Admit Card/ Hall Ticket:
Eligible candidates shall be issued an e-Admit Card three weeks before the commencement of the examination. The e-Admit Card will be made available on the UPSC website (upsc.gov.in) for being downloaded by candidates. No Admit Card will be sent by post. All applicants are required to provide valid & active e-mail id while filling up online application form as the Commission may use electronic mode for contacting them.
